Youth Ministry Overview

Overview
My name is Niki Sherman; wife, mom, teacher, and Youth Minister! I am so excited to be taking on this new role. I am grateful to be part of your faith journey. Most importantly I cannot wait to share with you the glory, love, and mercy JESUS has for each one of you!

There are many opportunities for young people of different ages, backgrounds and schools to gather together in community with the Ridgeville Catholic Youth (RCY):
- Junior High RCY (6th through 8th grades)
- RCY (9th through 12 grades)
Ridgeville Catholic Youth
(Middle School)
RCY for our middle school youth is a ministry program run by the Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Niki Sherman, in conjunction with a team of parent volunteers. St. Peter Parish uses the Edge program, developed by Life Teen, for middle school ministry.
- Junior High RCY is open to anyone in grades 6-8! It's not just limited to those who attend St. Peter School
- Meetings will be the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
- Meetings will generally include an opening game, short teaching, related activity, small group discussion and prayer
- Junior High RCY is designed for teens to have fun while also growing in their faith
- Teens are welcome to come to as many or as few events as they like after registration. Please visit the Junior High RCY page to register and for the next meeting date.
Ridgeville Catholic Youth (High School)
RCY is our high school youth ministry program run by the Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Niki Sherman, in conjunction with a team of volunteers.
- Anyone grades 9-12 is welcome!
- Meetings will vary but will generally include games, community, events and discussions about the faith
- Meetings will take place two Sunday evenings per month from 7:45 - 9:15pm; one at St. Peter's and one at St. Julie's.
- In addition to weekly meetings, we do occasional off campus trips and events like Swings-N-Things, Cedar Point, XLTs, etc.
- RCY is designed for teens to have fun, grow in their faith, encounter Christ and engage in parish life
- Teens are welcome to come to as many or as few events as they like after registration. Please visit the High School RCY page to register and for the next meeting date.
