To nominate a parishioner for a 3 year term on Parish Council, please consider the following for the parishioner you are about to nominate and then submit the below form no later than April 16, 2023.
Is the person:
At least 18 years of age.
A registered member of St. Peter parish for at least one year.
Fully initiated Catholic (having received Baptism, Eucharist and been Confirmed), and participates in the life of the parish.
Do you believe that he/she:
Recognizes that serving on Parish Council is a personal, spiritual ministry.
Is dedicated to the vision and the spiritual welfare of the parish.
Is able to give sufficient time for the attendance and preparation of Council meetings.
Has a willingness to listen and be open-minded towards the ideas of others.
In order to advance the mission of the Church of St. Peter, the Parish Council will serve as a voice of the people and act as an advisory and consultative body to the Pastor and Pastoral Staff.
The council will assist the Pastor and Pastoral Staff in discerning, formulating, implementing and evaluating the priorities and goals of the parish.
The Council’s functions are to:
Foster the spiritual growth and renewal of the parish first and foremost by being a model of prayer, cooperation, celebration and service.
Develop and renew a pastoral plan for the ministries and life of the parish. The Council will work in cooperation with the pastoral staff and the parish membership.
Develop, recommend and review pastoral policies.
Encourage open communication with members of the parish community.

Nomination Process
As a St. Peter parishioner, you are being asked to participate in the nomination of the members to fill the three vacancies to Council. These vacancies carry a three year term. The Council is a consultative body which unites laity and clergy in a community of prayer, leadership, service and pastoral planning. Members of Council serve as a voice of the people and act as an advisory body to the Pastor and Pastoral Staff.
You are encouraged to think and pray about members in our parish, (including yourself), whom you feel would be a good candidate to spiritually and ministerially participate in the advancement of our parish mission.
All nominations must be submitted via our website,to the Parish Center or placed in the Collection basket no later than 12:00 p.m. on April 16th.
During the coming days and weeks, please pray and think about your fellow parishioners who are:
At least 18 years of age.
